Who is she?

Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, I picked up my Midwestern roots and moved to NYC in 2017 to study marketing while playing Division 1 Volleyball. After spending 5 years in the Bronx running back and forth from the classroom to the volleyball court, I earned two degrees and set out to live my big girl Manhattan/corporate dream in the bustling advertising/media industry.

When I’m not running around the Upper West Side of Manhattan with my yoga mat, you can typically find me stalking prices on Google Flights, packing a week’s worth of clothing into a single backpack, or on a flight sipping ginger ale (I only seem to have it when on a plane for some strange reason). Some know me as a Carrie Bradshaw of the corporate world, and others as a backpacking nomad. So how does she do it all? With just two weeks of PTO might I add…

I have always enjoyed traveling throughout my life for countless volleyball tournaments and family vacations. During the pandemic, as many of us did, I realized how precious our time and experiences on Earth are. I shot out of bed one night in my 5th floor grad school walkup and booked a round trip flight to Italy, all alone. I had never been to Europe before, and had surely never had a fully solo trip. Some called me crazy, my mother especially. As you can probably assume by seeing this blog, it was the best decision of my life. So here we are years later with a full time job, little PTO, but a BIG travel bug. These posts, photos, and words can’t come close to encapsulating the experiences that I have had through travel. So take this as your sign to book that flight, take that trip. I promise you will never regret it.
